こんにちは、息子をトリリンガルに育て上げたい願望が強い、ブラジルちえみです。
そんなわけで、我が家では息子が小学校１年生の時からオンライン英会話を習っています。
最近のオンライン英会話では、お試しができるところがたくさんあって便利ですよね？

「英会話の先生が選べるのはいいんだけど、どの先生がいいのか迷っちゃう。。。」
出来れば、人気のある先生がいいんだけど！！
そこで今回は、どの先生を選べばいいのか迷っている親御さんに、
「リップルキッズパーク」での先生選びのポイントと、息子たちが、よく受講していた「子供に人気の先生」をご紹介します。

息子たちもそうでしたが、先生の顔写真の第一印象で先生を選びがちです。

よく初めての体験前に「お勧めの先生は？」という質問を頂きますが、基本的に全ての先生がお勧めですし、お子様ごとにどういった先生が合うのかは分かりません。
まずはお子様と一緒に動画を見ていただき、直感でお選びいただくことをお勧めしております。
こんなに先生がたくさんいると、紹介ビデオを一人一人見るだけでも結構大変なんですけど。。。
しかし、コレとっても大事です！
特に私のように・・・
親が子供に、英会話を習わせたい！

紹介ビデオを見ることの大切さ
私のように親が英会話を習わせたい場合、無料お試しレッスンの先生は
「相性の良さそうな先生を、子供と一緒に探してみてください！」
入会前の体験レッスンで、子供が英会話をやりたいか、やりたくないかが決まります。
子供と一緒に紹介ビデオをチェックした方がいいのは、写真とビデオの印象が違う先生もたくさんいるからです。
フィリピン人の先生なので、親としては発音はどうなのか？も気になります。
写真では分からないからね。

基本的に子供は動画が大好きなので「この先生のビデオが見たい。」と予想以上に紹介ビデオに食いついてきます。
私の方が、見るのが面倒くさいと思ったぐらいです。

人気のある先生の予約が取りにくい？
めでたく子供が英会話に興味を持ってくれて入会した後には・・・
「いつも予約済みのあの先生、人気があるからイイのかなぁ？」
と、予約が埋まっている先生が気になる気になる。
リップルでは先生の予約開始の時間が「会員ランク」によって違います。
なので習い始めの時は人気の先生の予約がとりにくい！
長く続けている方には、優先的にお気に入りの先生を予約出来るようになっているからです。
しかしレッスン開始の4時間前までは無料でキャンセルができるので、タイミングが良ければ人気の先生も予約できることもあります。
私もキャンセル待ちしてましたよー！！
しかし・・・
人気のある先生が、必ずしも自分の子供と相性がいいとは限りませんよー。
子供の好きな先生を優先
リップルだけでなく、他のオンライン家庭教師でもそうですが、やる気度合は先生によっていろいろです。
例えば9時に予約が入っていたとすると、同じ9時でも、
- 9時きっかりにすぐスカイプしてくれる先生
- 9時1分になる前にスカイプしてくる先生
まぁ、大した差はないんですが・・・。
どっちがイイかと言われたら、時間きっかりに授業を始めてくれる先生の方がいいですよね？
毎回だと、結構気になります。
この先生、時間になるとすぐにスカイプしてくれるしいいんじゃない？
この先生、発音がキレイだからいいんじゃない？
親がそう思っていても、子供が気に入らなければしょうがありませんよね。
結局、子供が先生を気に入らなければ、続けられない！
たくさんの先生と総当たり
兄弟でもお気に入りの先生が違う！
常に空きが多い先生は別ですが（多分あまり人気がない。。。）
我が家の場合、初めにいろいろな先生と授業をしてみて、子供が気に入ったかどうか感想を聞いていきました。
- 好きな先生
- 普通の先生
- あまり気に入らなかった先生
この3つに分けて、次回からは「好きな先生」と「普通の先生」から選ぶようにしました。
いろいろな先生と話すと、英語に慣れる！？
先生によって話す口調も違います。
よっぽど人見知りな子供でない限り、いろいろな先生としゃべること大切だと思います。
一人の先生に決めつけず、いろいろな先生と話すと「英語の聞き取り練習」にもなるのでは？
最後の授業では、教材のどこまですすんだのか？の情報共有してくれているので、先生を変えたとしても問題ありません。
4時間切った授業でお試し！
リップルキッズパークでは、当日の4時間を切った授業は割引になります。
通常5枚チケットが必要なところ、3枚のチケットで利用できるため、まだ受講したことのない先生を「お試しで受講する」には最適です。
時間に融通が利く方であれば、この制度を使うと格安でいろいろな先生の受講ができてお得ですよ。
それでは、実際に良く受講していた、子供に人気の先生をご紹介します。
息子たちが気に入っていた先生
ジェネヴィーヴ先生
最初のお試しの時から、気に入っていて予約のとれる時はずっと受講していました。
体験レッスンでは色や、形、数字などで子供の英語の理解度を調べるのですが、まだ、色や形の単語が全然わからない次男にも、手作りのPOPなどで視覚的にも楽しめるよう授業をしてくれました。
子供の学校が変わり、リップルでの授業時間が合わなく止めてしまってからも、お誕生日にメールをくれたりして、個人的にはおすすめの先生です。
RC先生
くまさんのような、大きな先生です。
カラダの大きさのわりに、しゃべり方が優しくて、特に男の子にはおすすめだと思います。
中には厳しい先生も！
先生の中には紹介欄に「厳しいので子供を泣かせてしまうことがあり、初めてのレッスンの方は注意してください。」と書いてある先生もいます。
あらかじめ警告してあって、リップルの誠実さが伝わってきますね。
逆にどんな先生なのか興味津々でした。
