レーシックしても、視力低下する！？
「レーシックって手術をすると、近視が治るらしいよ。」
会社の人が話していたのを聞いて、流行りものが好きな私はすぐに飛びついた。
なんの迷いもなく、即手術。
私がレーシックの手術をしたのは2003年。
その当時は、今ほど普及していなくて、私の周りでも受けた人はいませんでした。
手術後・・・

裸眼で見られた時の感動は、今でも忘れられません。
術後、思うほど視力が上がらず、片目だけ再手術。
めでたく、両目とも1.0に。
それから月日は流れ、2009年に私はブラジルに移住することになりました。
日本と違い、コンタクトレンズやケア用品も高いので「手術しておいて本当に良かった！」と思っていました。
レーシックって最高！
しかし・・・
最近、だんだん目が悪くなってきたかなぁ？とは感じていました。
２年前の2015年の日本帰国時に免許の更新ができるか心配
しかし、無事に目の検査に通ったので、その時は両目で0.7近くはあったはず！
2年前までは！
ここ1年はパソコン作業が多く、眼精疲労がひどい。
まぁ、近所のスーパーや銀行に行くぐらいは問題ないし。
「2年前から少し悪くなって、0.4くらいかなぁ？？」
なんて、のんきに考えていました。
バカー！
一時帰国することになり、「子供２人連れて、知らない空港を歩き回るのは危険かな？迷ってもいけないし。」と思い、目の検査をしに眼科へ。
レーシック後の定期健診以来、視力検査をしていないので１３半年ぶりくらいかな？
眼科に行って測ってみると、なんと

私の視力は、0.1にまで低下していた！
「ヤダっ！ 誰かウソだといって！」
ちなみにブラジルの視力検査では、日本のように「ｃ」の文字のどこが切れているか？というのではなく、大小のアルファベットを当てていく方式です。
正直、日本より簡単だと思います。
でも、2段目で間違えた。。。
レーシックをうけたときの説明では、「一度手術すれば、視力は落ちることはない」と言われたような？？？
私は声を大にして、言いたい。
レーシックしても術後の生活習慣で、その後、視力はまた悪くなるよー！
最近、黒板の字が見にくい！といっていた子供の視力も0.1になっていてダブルパンチ。。。
術後の視力低下の可能性
ほとんどの方は治療後は良好な視力を維持されておりますが、近視の進行は遺伝や環境など様々な要因に関係しております。
その後の近視を予防することは、残念ながら出来ません。
レーシック治療後に良好な視力に回復された場合でも、術後の生活によっては少し進行する可能性もございます。
手術してそれで終わりじゃないんですね。。。
当時はまだ、あまり事例がなかったのかもしれませんが、昔そんなこと言ってなかったよねー！
また、清水公也・北里大学眼科教授の調査によると、
レーシック手術後に視力1.0以上の視力保った人の割合は
- 手術 6年後で53%
- 手術 8年後で39%
つまり、レーシック手術をして6年後にはほぼ半数の人の視力が1.0未満に下がるというわけです。
１．０なんて贅沢なことは言いません、せめて両目で0.7ほしい！
私の脳が「見ること」をあきらめた
不思議なことに、視力が０．１だと知ってから、全ての物が見えにくくなっていきました。
- いつも行くスーパー、商品棚に並ぶ商品が昨日よりも見にくい。
- 毎日見ていたはずの姿見が、ぼやけて目や鼻がはっきり見えない。
- リビングの壁時計、数字も秒針もぼやけている。
最悪だ！
すべての物が、以前よりもボヤけて見える！！
私の脳が「あなたはもう目が悪いんだよ。」と指令を送り、ピントをずらしてきます。
ぼやけて全然見えないよー！
視力低下でメガネに。。。
衝撃の診断を受けた私は、家で泣いていました。
それを見ていた旦那さんは「みんなメガネかけてるじゃん。メガネかければいいだけだよ。」
目がいい人には、この辛さが分からないんだよ！
これ以上、目が悪くなると、本当に、本当に不便なんだよ。
私の手術前の視力は両目とも0.02～3くらいの超近視
手鏡を顔10ｃｍまで近づけないと、裸眼では化粧できないよ。
朝起きて、メガネが定位置にないと、メガネが探せないんだよ。どこにあるのか見えないんだよ！！
朝トイレに行った後、手を洗いながら鏡を見たら、サングラスをかけていたこともあるよ！
（それは寝ぼけていただけかも・・・。）

視力低下に気が付かない？
姿見鏡や時計などは毎日見ていたはずなのに、なぜ視力が低下していることに気づかなかったのか？
もしかしたら、見えるところまで、自然に移動していたのかもしれません。
だから、なかなか気が付かなかった。。。
視力が落ちてきていることに、早く気付くことが一番大切！
目が悪くなった理由には、思い当たることがたくさんあります。
私の視力が低下した原因
ベッドで寝ながら動画を見ていた
日本にいた時はそうでもなかったのですが、ブラジルに来てからは日本のバラエティ番組を見るのが「唯一の楽しみ」でした。
（それが原因で、ポルトガル語も全く上達しませんが。）
７年位前から、夜寝る前にベッドで寝転がりながら、毎晩のように動画を見ていました。
寝ながらだとipadとの距離も近いし、強烈なブルーライトをバンバン浴びっぱなしだったかも。
視力の低下を感じ始めたのは、その頃からです。
「目には悪いだろうな」とも思っていました。
しかし当時の私は、レーシックしたし、視力は戻らないはず！と安心しきっていました。
あの頃の私に会えるなら、こう言ってやりたい。
「ブルーライトなめんなよ！！」
外出する機会が減った
ここ一年、仕事が忙しくてあまり外に出ていない。
事務所で仕事をしていた時は、行き帰りで１５分くらいは必然的に外を歩いていましたが、自宅で作業するようになって外出する機会が減りました。
眼科の先生が言うには、
目を休ませる為に、一日に１回は外に出るようにした方がいいよ。
家の中でいくら遠くのものを見ようとしても、よっぽどの豪邸だったとしても、たかが知れてます。
外に出て、なるべく遠くの目標物を定めて見ることが大事だそうです。
長時間のパソコン作業
この１年間は特に、毎日のように何時間もパソコン作業していました。
机を壁にくっつけていたため、作業のふとした時でも前には壁とコルクボードしかなく視界が狭くなりがちでした。
今はパソコンの位置を窓脇に移動させ、パソコンから目をそらせば、スグに窓の外を見られるようにしました。
日焼けしちゃうよ。。。
「もっと早く気が付いて、検査に行っていたら？ここまで悪くならなかったのに。」と、今でも後悔しています。
しかし何もせずに放っておくと、以前の私のように視力はどんどん悪くなります。
レーシック後の視力低下から、視力回復する！
そして、40歳過ぎていても、0.1以下からでも視力を回復した方のブログを発見しました。
０．１からでも視力が回復することを知った私は、毎日「目の体操」をしています。
